An important meeting has been held between the leaders of the Cashew Board of Tanzania, prominent guests from the Netherlands and cashewnut growers who sell value-added cashews in the Dutch market, where the discussion focused on adding value to their cashews for the Dutch market, which continues to have a high demand for these products which are of high quality. In the session, the delegates discussed opportunities to add value in the cashewnut production chain while the guests from the Netherlands expressed their satisfaction with Tanzania’s efforts in cashewnut breeding as well as the quality of the product produced in the country. It is obvious that this commercial cooperation between Tanzania and the Netherlands through effective strategies to add value, adds light to the cashew industry in the country, and this will be more beneficial to the nation through export earnings and job opportunities that will result from cashew industries. The meeting was held at the offices of the Cashewnut Board of Tanzania on November 22-2024, so the production and export of value-added cashews will be strengthened and the cashewnut farmers will benefit more through their farming.
