In recent days, the Central and Central Highlands provinces of our country have been struggling to cope with historic floods, causing particularly serious damage to people and property. According to the latest report, floods and landslides have killed at least 41 people, 9 people are missing, and more than 52,000 houses are deeply flooded: The two most severely affected localities include: - Dak Lak province: recorded up to 16 deaths according to many reports; - Khanh Hoa province: recorded 14 deaths and thousands of households had to evacuate. Hundreds of thousands of hectares of rice, crops and livestock were washed away; many national and provincial highways were cut off due to deep flooding and landslides, causing many communes to be isolated continuously for many days. The Prime Minister has directed urgent measures for relief, reconstruction and support for people to overcome the consequences. The authorities have mobilized people and vehicles to bring food, life jackets, life buoys and rescue equipment to isolated areas.
