Farmers in the Mankono sub-prefecture were made aware of the need to produce quality raw cashew nuts during this 2025 marketing campaign. The call was launched on Thursday, February 6, 2025 in the Adamasso school field, a village in Mankono where the director of production at the cotton and cashew council, Dr. Ouattara Gniré Mariam congratulated the farmers of the Béré region for their efforts in favor of quantity. These efforts have made the Béré region the leading cashew nut producing region in Côte d'Ivoire. Mrs. Ouattara asked farmers to combine product quality with high quantity. This, she said, necessarily involves respecting good agricultural practices such as cleaning fields three times a year and mechanically combating insects. The sub-prefect of Bouandougou, Juste Tue Bi Marcel, representing the regional prefect, invited farmers to respect the instructions given by technicians from the National Agency for Support to Rural Development (ANADER) to achieve quality objectives and have added value on sale. This mission led by Director Ouattara is part of the awareness campaign for stakeholders in the cashew sector on improving and preserving the quality of raw cashew nuts from February 3 to 8, 2025.
