Samheng Bora, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce and Chairman of the Export Promotion Task Force, accompanied by Kim Sreyroth, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce, held a meeting with Kazuichi Shimada, President and CEO of MIRARTH Holdings, and several senior executives, at the company’s headquarters in Tokyo this week. The discussions focused on advancing Cambodian cashew products into the Japanese market and MIRARTH Holdings’ objective is to collaborate with Cambodia at World Expo 2025 in Osaka to promote Cambodian potential products, especially key agricultural products such as rice, pepper, and cashew nuts, according to a ministry’s press release issued this morning. Secretary of State encouraged and urged MIRARTH Holdings to expand its investment and cooperation in Cambodia, especially in developing the local cashew nut processing sector, promoting the value chain of Cambodian products, creating local job opportunities, and contributing to national economic growth. The company expressed its readiness to work closely with the Export Promotion Task Force of the Ministry of Commerce to promote Cambodian cashew nuts globally, aiming to elevate its reputation on the international stage. Both sides reaffirmed their shared vision of strengthening ties and advancing Cambodian agricultural exports, particularly cashews, to achieve greater economic and trade outcomes for Cambodia.
