<p>The cashew nut processing plant, inaugurated on Friday, July 12, 2024 by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé in Tombougou-Samogosso, in the commune of Boundiali, will help lift thousands of women and young people out of unemployment and give them lasting financial independence, said the deputy mayor of Boundiali, Professor Mariatou Koné, during the inauguration of this infrastructure.</p> <p>For Professor Mariatou Koné, through this processing unit, players in the cashew sector will consequently benefit from the fruits of their labor.</p> <p>The creation of this factory is part of the vision of the mayor of the commune who plans to make Boundiali an agro-industrial town.</p> <p>Keen to take action with the aim of positively impacting the quality of life of populations, Mariatou Koné formed, during a stay in 2021 in the United Arab Emirates, a partnership with Alsayegh Group for the construction of a cashew nut processing plant in her municipality.</p> <p>In October 2021, the first visit to Boundiali took place by a delegation from Alsayegh Group, led by its president Abdul Jabbar Alsayeg, to explore the factory site and lay the foundation stone.</p> <p>As the initiator of the project, Minister Mariatou Koné made several field visits to ensure that deadlines were met and that the work was carried out in accordance with best practice.</p> <p>With the inauguration of the factory, she considers that it is a "victory" that she dedicates to the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara, whose enlightened and winning leadership opens doors and reassures investors, like the Alsayegh group, a giant of the agro-industry totally won over by the opportunities offered by Côte d'Ivoire.</p> <p>Built on an area of ​​10 ha, the factory has a processing capacity of 50 T/day and will generate nearly 6,000 direct jobs and 10,000 indirect jobs.</p>
