  • Goa Cashew Fest 2025 to return for its third edition in April

    The Goa Forest Development Corporation (GFDC) has announced the third edition of the Goa Cashew Fest, set to take place from April 25 to 27, 2025, at D.B. Grounds, Campal, Panaji. Conceptualized by Deviya Rane, Chairperson-GFDC, this vibrant festival aims to celebrate Goa’s rich cashew heritage, unite farmers and industry stakeholders, and create widespread awareness about the significance of the cashew industry in the state. Under her vision, the festival has grown exponentially, drawing both local and international participation while educating the younger generation on cashew harvesting and its historical significance in Goa. The festival will honour and felicitate farmers and industry stakeholders for their unwavering dedication to preserving and advancing Goa’s cashew legacy. Over 50 stalls will feature a vibrant mix of gift shops, cashew produce stalls, and food stalls, offering a diverse selection of cashew-infused cuisine crafted by renowned chefs and restaurants. Visitors can indulge in dishes such as creamy cashew curries, cashew rissois, and crispy cashew feni prawns. Previous editions have welcomed esteemed establishments like Taj Holiday Village Resorts & Spa, Miguel Arcanjo, Cavatina, and Morisco, ensuring a gourmet experience that highlights the versatility of cashews in Goan cuisine. No celebration of Goa’s cashew heritage would be complete without feni, the region’s iconic cashew-based beverage, which will take centre stage through exclusive tasting sessions and innovative specialty mixes. Celebrated cashew feni producers such as Cazulo Premium Feni and Madame Rosa Distillery will showcase their finest blends, offering visitors an authentic taste of Goa’s cherished beverage tradition.
