A Ghanaian delegation and PSL Machinery have held follow-up talks in Vietnam on an integrated A-Z cashew-processing model covering factory and warehouse design, solar power, production management and potential offtake of finished products. A Ghanaian delegation led by H.E. Florence Buerki Akonor, Ghana's High Commissioner to Vietnam and Malaysia, met PSL Machinery in Vietnam to discuss the next stage of a strategic cashew-processing partnership involving the country's Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA). The talks focused on an integrated model covering cashew factory and warehouse design, utilities, solar power, production management and the marketing of finished cashew products. The parties also discussed extending PSL Machinery's role from project design and commissioning to cashew factory operations and, subject to commercial agreements, the sale of finished output. The delegation reviewed how complete cashew-processing sites can be developed as coordinated industrial systems and how responsibility can continue from project design into cashew factory operation and ultimately into the marketing and sale of finished production. PSL Machinery said it is able to place the principal technical interfaces of the project under one engineering responsibility rather than dividing the investment among unrelated machinery suppliers, building contractors, utility providers and energy specialists. In practice, PSL Machinery can design the cashew processing line together with the cashew factory and warehouse layout, material flows, storage areas, utilities, electrical systems, equipment positioning, installation and commissioning. PSL Machinery said this coordination is important as project scale grows. Even highly sophisticated machinery can underperform if material flow is inefficient, warehouse design creates bottlenecks, utilities are poorly sized or energy infrastructure is unreliable. Its A-Z model is intended to reduce those interface risks by treating the complete facility as one engineering system. Solar power was also discussed, with the possibility of integrating solar generation into factory design based on production loads, electrical infrastructure, roof space and energy requirements. PSL Machinery said this could reduce reliance on conventional electricity and emissions while supporting production reliability. The discussions also covered operations after construction and commissioning. PSL Machinery said its support could include production planning, operator supervision, maintenance, quality control, equipment calibration, performance monitoring, technical reporting and workforce development. The model is intended to connect equipment design with operating systems after commissioning, helping factories translate installed capacity into sustained production performance. Florence Buerki Akonor, Ghana is interested in PSL Machinery's ability to support the positioning and sale of finished cashew products through international market channels. Discussions covered product positioning, buyer development and international sales, as well as potential offtake arrangements under which PSL Machinery could purchase an agreed share of finished production that meets specified requirements. The parties also discussed consulting support for factory planning, processing standards, technology, operating structures, product quality and market requirements, with the broader aim of strengthening Ghana's domestic cashew-processing capacity. The latest talks sought to develop an implementation framework covering cashew factory infrastructure, processing lines, utilities, solar systems, operations and commercial activities. Under the model being discussed, engineering, operational and commercial activities would be developed as connected elements of the same cashew-processing project. The High Commissioner's follow-up visit marks another step toward implementing the Ghana-PSL Machinery partnership, with the parties examining an integrated approach combining infrastructure, technology, energy, management and market access.
