Cashew exports to Canada increased sharply by 42.5% in volume and 20.2% in value. </p><p>Cashew nut exports to the United States increased 12.4% in volume and 4.6% in value over the same period in 2017 to 104,000 tons worth $ 973 million. Meanwhile, cashew exports to China fell 1.3% in volume and down 7.1% in value to 30,200 tonnes worth $ 275 million. </p><p>According to the Department of Agricultural, Forestry, Fishery and Salt Processing, "The development plan of the cashew sector up to 2020 and the orientation of 2030" approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in 2015 aims to 2020, The area of ​​cashewnut cultivation is 300,000 hectares, average yield is 1.5 tons / ha. </p><p>In the concentrated cashew growing area of ​​over 2 tons / ha, the cashew yield is about 400,000 tons / year, the export turnover reached 2.5 billion USD. </p><p>Oriented to the year 2030, continue to stabilize cashew area, focus on intensive farming, apply science and technology to improve productivity. The rate of processing of cashew is 40-50%, export turnover reached 3 billion USD.  </p><p></p>
