<p></p><p>Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday announced a compensation of 20,000 per hectare of paddy crop as against 10,000 paid all these years for the damage caused by Titli. He said the compensation would be 25,000 per hectare of cashew crop and 1,200 for each fallen coconut tree.</p> <p>He also promised to pay 40,000 per hectare in a phased manner in the next three years for maintenance of the cashew and the coconut crops. At a review meeting at Palasa before leaving for Vijayawada, Mr. Naidu promised to ensure crop insurance to all the farmers and asked them to concentrate on inter cropping to generate more income. </p><p>He promised to pay 2 lakh for the fisheremen who lost their boats. “The compensation will be 6 lakh for motor boats and 10,000 for each net. Aqua farmers will get 30,000 compensation per hectare.” </p><p>MP’s plea </p><p>He directed officials to pay 10,000 for damaged houses, supply 25 kg rice to each family and 50 kg rice for the families of the fishermen community. K. Rammohan Naidu, MP, urged the appointment of survey teams to assess the crop and property damage in villages. Collector K. Dhananjaya Reddy and Joint Collector KVN Chakradhar Babu said the assessment process would begin very soonly. </p><p>Ministers on the move </p><p>Several Ministers including Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, P. Pullarao, Chinarajappa, Kala Venkatarao and others toured extensively in the cyclone-affected areas. They consoled the families and assured helping hand in all aspects.<br></p><p></p>
