  • Exports to India increased by 22.6%

    <p></p><p>(VEN) - According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, total bilateral trade turnover between Vietnam and India 6 months of 2012 reached 1.845 billion, up 0.45% over the same period last year, in Vietnam's exports to India reached 755 million, up 22.6%, and imports of Vietnam from India $ 1.09 billion, down 11%.Thus, Vietnam's imports from India at U.S. $ 335 million, down 45% over the same period last year (606 million). </p> <p>In terms of structure, the major export items of Vietnam to the Indian market to maintain high growth rates, namely: machinery and equipment increased 70.3%, a computer, the product and electronic components rose 91.2%, rubber increased 358.9%, 97.6% cashews. In particular, some new items that have high levels of plastic products increased by 60%, chemicals 71.4%, footwear for more than 60%. </p><p>According to the Vietnam Trade Office in India, India is a high demand for imports of agricultural and forestry products in Vietnam such as tea, coffee, pepper, cashew .. to process and add value then re-exported. In addition, for natural rubber products, India has imported about 62,000 tons of demand in 2012 to manufacture automobile tires for domestic consumption and export.<br></p><p></p>
