  • Cashew prices decline on sluggish demand

    <p></p><p>Cashew prices declined by ` 5 per kg in the national capital today owing to fall in demand from retailers and stockists. &nbsp;Adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from producing belts also weighed on the cashew prices. </p> <p>Cashew kernel (No 180, 210, 240 and 320) prices fell by ` 5 each to settle at ` 595-610, ` 545-565, ` 515-525 and ` 485-525 per kg, respectively. Marketmen said sluggish demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks mainly led to a decline in cashew kernel prices at the wholesale dry fruit market here. </p><p>The following are today's quotations (per 40 kg): Almond (California) ` 11,000 Almond (Gurbandi-new) ` 6,000-6,200; Almond (Girdhi) ` 3,100-3,200; Abjosh Afghani ` 8,000-18,000. &nbsp;Almond Kernel (California) ` 385-395 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) ` 300-370 per kg. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><br><p></p>
