Addressing the congress, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan suggested that Vietnam's cashew industry continue to make efforts to reduce production and business costs; further increase the added value of cashews; must not be content with the present, but must constantly innovate and create. In the context of the current unpredictable world, the cashew industry needs to have a long-term vision and development orientation, and actively prepare plans to deal with possible situations. Vietnam continues to use the world as a new destination The Executive Board of Vinacas for the term 2021-2026 was introduced. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in 2021, the total cashew area of ​​Vietnam will be about 305 thousand hectares, the total output of raw cashew nuts will be about 367.2 thousand tons, the average yield will be about 1.18 tons. /ha. Our country's cashew export turnover in 2021 will reach nearly 3.66 billion USD, an increase of 14% compared to 2020, accounting for about 7.52% of the total export turnover of Vietnam's agricultural industry. According to Vinacas, in 2021, our country will export about 609.26 thousand tons of cashew kernels with a total turnover of nearly 3.75 billion USD, an increase of 16.81% compared to 2020 although the average export price will decrease by about 1 ,69%. Most of the cashew kernels are officially exported by sea to more than 100 markets around the world. In 2021, our country will import about 3,149 million tons of raw cashew nuts. With these results, Vietnam continues to maintain its leading position in the world in terms of cashew kernel exports, accounting for 80% of the world's total cashew kernel exports. Cashew nuts in Vietnam currently account for about 90% of the market share in the US and China, 80% in the Netherlands, 60% in Germany... In 2022, Vietnam's cashew industry continues to set the goal of keeping the quantity stable, increasing the quality and selling price of products; maintaining the cultivation area, the average yield is about 1.25 tons/ha, the total output of raw cashews is about 370 thousand tons, the total export turnover is about 3.8 billion USD.
