In Togo, the marketing campaign is open until August 30, 2022 on behalf of the 6th edition. The law governing this season was at the heart of discussions during the launch in Sokodé (340 km north of Lomé) at the end of last week. This year and those to come, the purchase of raw cashew nuts throughout the national territory is subject to obtaining a buyer's or sub-buyer's card, a purchase agreement and green paper (freight slip). 1 CIFAT As for the exporters, they must, before the purchase operation, present an export approval. They must also declare the export to the Council of Exporters of the Cashew Sector (CEFA) and the Interprofessional Council of the Cashew Sector of Togo (CIFAT) in order to obtain the export discharge. On behalf of this 2022 campaign, nearly 35,000 t against 27,360 t in 2021 of cashew nuts will be made available to buyers, at the farm gate price of 340 FCFA/Kg against 320 FCFA/kg in 2021.
