• Competition Begins in Raw Cashew Market

    Feb 17th, 2012

Indian raw cashew prices are once again moving up on farmers resistance. According to trade sources, growers are selling only second class raw nuts due to unprofitable market conditions. If they get workable prices, they will certainly take interest in daily collection of the fallen nuts but if the prices shatter their dreams, they may neglect the crop with weekly or occasional procurement. According to some analysts, Brazilians may purchase 65000 – 80000 Tons from the West African raw cashew traders this year and this season may see a strong triangular competition in Benin, Ivory Coast and Guinea-Bissau.
