<p>Experts share their experiences for a better consideration of gender equality in the support of farmers.</p> <p> </p> <p>During a workshop organized at the training center of the National Rural Development Support Agency (ANADER) in Bingerville, from Tuesday 19 to Thursday 21 October 2021, as part of ANADER's reflection activities, called ' 'Gender Academy', the experts agreed on a common approach to take gender into account in development projects and programs and to promote the inclusive development of cocoa / cashew cooperatives with the involvement of women through measures and equity actions.</p> <p> </p> <p>The Director of Gender and Development of ANADER, Cho Juliette Assienan-Kokola, underlined that investing in the promotion of equality and equity in rural development requires and requires strengthening the effectiveness of interventions. to promote the access of women and young people (girls and boys) to adequate resources, in order to guarantee the success of programs, projects and activities targeting the populations of rural areas.</p> <p> </p> <p>She hopes to help rural women build and assert their leadership through ANADER, whose objective is to reach at least 40% of women through agricultural and rural advisory services.</p> <p> </p> <p>This training workshop was carried out with the support of the International Development Cooperation Company (SOCODEVI), which contributes to improving the living conditions of cocoa and cashew producing families in Côte d'Ivoire, through the capacity building of producers and the development of inclusive, autonomous, profitable and sustainable cooperative enterprises.</p>
