Notably, Vietnam's cashew industry faces competition from markets such as Ivory Coast (exports to the US increased by 166.4%) and Nigeria (exports to the US increased by 111.1%), but the market Vietnam's cashew nut share in total US imports still increased slightly from 89.08% in the first 7 months of 2020 to 89.26% in the first 7 months of 2021. This shows that the Vietnamese cashew industry still maintains its position as the number 1 supplier in the United States thanks to its stable supply and guaranteed quality. The Import and Export Department forecasts that cashew nut exports in general will increase in the near future. The fourth quarter is usually the peak season for cashew nut consumption, and markets such as the United States, Europe, and China increase imports. Domestically, the social distancing is gradually being eased, making production and transportation more convenient.
