As part of the cashew transformation policy through the Cashew Value Chain Competitiveness Promotion Project in Côte d'Ivoire (PPCA), the Council of Ministers adopted a decree declaring of public utility of a plot of 64 hectares called Industrial Zone located in the town of Bondoukou. The information was delivered by the government spokesman, also Minister of Communication and Media, Sidi Tiémoko Touré, after the Council of Ministers on June 24, 2020 in Abidjan.He explained that the PPCA project, which plans to create favorable conditions for the establishment of cashew processing companies, aims, among other things, to increase the rate of cashew nuts processed and to promote empowerment of youth and women. According to him, this policy contributes, in general, to the strengthening of structuring infrastructures and responds to the need to create industrial zones in different regions, in order to improve the competitiveness of the production sector throughout the national territory. .
