  • Spanish almond kernel output forecast reduced

    <p>Spain&#39;s National Bureau of Nuts has warned that almond producers in the country would harvest no more than 27,000 tonnes of almond kernels in the 2013/14 season; 40% less than last season, and the lowest since 2004.The bureau concluded that the final harvest would be lower than the 29,857 tonnes of kernels that it previously predicted in its second almond harvest forecast in early July. In its first forecast on May 9, the bureau initially predicted producers would harvest 32,053 tonnes of kernels.</p>
