<p>The Almond Board of Australia sees strong prospects for the country's almond exports over the coming years in line with global consumption growth and expected production increases.</p> <p>Australia has become the second largest global producer of almonds this year after the US, overtaking Spain, which has traditionally held the second spot. Australia's output in 2013 is forecast to reach 78,000 kernel tons, up from last year's crop of 49,586 tons.</p> <p> </p>
