  • Pistachio prices fall on subdued demand

    <p>Pistachio prices fell by ` 5 per kg in the national capital on Wednesday owing to subdued demand from retailers and stockists. Adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from overseas markets also put pressure on pistachio prices.</p> <p>Pistachio (hairati and peshawari) eased by ` 5 each to ` 800-850 and ` 980-1,000 per kg, respectively. Traders said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against fresh arrivals, mainly pulled down pistachio prices on the wholesale dry fruit market here.</p> <p>The following are today&rsquo;s quotations (per 40 kg): Almond (California) ` 13,800 Almond (Gurbandi-new) ` 7,200-7,600; Almond (Girdhi) ` 3,500-3,700; Abjosh Afghani ` 8,000-20,000. Almond Kernel (California-new) ` 490-500 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) ` 350-450 per kg.</p> <p>Pistachio Irani ` 980-1,020 Pistachio Hairati ` 800-850 Pistachio Peshawari ` 980-1,000 Pistachio Dodi (Roasted) 630-680</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
