<p>BRAZILIAN cashew exports were as disappointing last year as they were in 2011, with 25 334 tons sold, slightly down on the tally for 2011 and less than half the tonnage exported in 2007.</p> <p>The effect was most marked in sales to the US: down by nearly 25% to 12 334 tons. Sales to the Netherlands, the second-largest buyer, and Canada in third place, were up, but as the US takes at least half Brazil's exports this was not enough to compensate.</p> <p> </p>
