  • India: Cashew prices rise on fresh buying

    <p>Cashew prices rose by ` 5 per kg in the national capital today largely on the back of fresh buying by retailers and stockists due to &#39;Navratras&#39; demand. Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices.</p> <p>Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by ` 5 each to conclude at at ` 735-755, ` 675-700, ` 595-615 and ` 515-565 per kg, respectively. Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists to meet &#39;Navratras&#39; festival demand, mainly pushed up pistachio prices on the wholesale dry fruit market here.</p> <p>The following are today&#39;s quotations (per 40 kg): Almond (California) ` 13,600 Almond (Gurbandi-new) ` 7,300-7,700; Almond (Girdhi) ` 3,300-3,500; Abjosh Afghani ` 8,000-20,000. Almond Kernel (California-new) ` 480-500 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) ` 350-450 per kg.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
