<p>In 2018, cashew industry in Vietnam will continue to be successful when the demand for cashew nuts world is predicted to increase quite high.According to the General Department of Customs, in November 1974, the export volume reached 32.4 thousand tons, worth $ 326 million, down 3.3% in volume and down 2.6% in value compared with last month; increased 9.3% in volume and 21.9% in value compared with November. In 11 months of 2017, the amount of cashew exports reached 324 thousand tons, valued at 3.21 billion USD, up 1.1% in volume and 23.7% in value over the same period in 2016.</p> <p>In November, the average export price of cashews was $ 10,026 a ton, up 0.7% from the previous month and up 11.5% over the same period last year. Generally for 11 months of 2017, the average export price of cashew nuts was $ 9,926.3 per ton, up 22.3% over the 11 months of 2016.In November 1977, cashew exports to the US and China increased while exports to the Netherlands decreased. Cashew exports to the US market reached 111.5 thousand tons, worth $ 1.124 billion, up 2.8% in volume and up 27% in value over the same period last year.</p> <p>In 2018, cashew industry in Vietnam is expected to continue to be successful as demand for cashew nuts is expected to increase dramatically, many orders have been signed until mid-April 2018.Currently, cashew nuts Vietnam occupies a high market share in the US and China. Vietnam is the largest buyer of cashew nuts in the US, accounting for 75.4% of the market share in the first 10 months of 2017, slightly up from 75.3% in the first 10 months of 2016 and significantly higher than 68.9% market share in the first 10 months of 2015.</p> <p>Cashew imports from Vietnam in the Chinese market accounted for 98.2% of market share in the first 10 months of 2017, up from 94.3% in the first 10 months of 2016.In the US, cashew nuts are considered healthy snacks, are being processed to become substitutes for butter and milk.
