Export turnover of cashew nuts in the first 6 months increased over 21%

<p>Cashew nut export price in the first 6 months of 2017 reached $ 9,721 per ton, up 26.3% over the same period in 2016.According to preliminary statistics of the General Department of Customs, in the first two quarters of 2017 the country exported 151,337 tons of cashew nuts, earning $ 1.47 billion (down 3.2% in volume but up 21.4% in Turnover over the same period in 2016); Particularly, in June of this year, 34,516 tons were exported, earning US $ 354.04 million (up 4.3% in volume and 7.4% in value against May).</p> <p>Cashew nut export price in the first 6 months of 2017 reached $ 9,721 per ton, up 26.3% over the same period in 2016.The United States still maintains the largest market for cashew nuts in Vietnam, accounting for 37% of the country&#39;s total cashew nut export turnover, to $ 543.3 million (up 33.3% Same period of 2016).The second largest market is the Netherlands, which accounts for 15% of the country&#39;s cashew nut export turnover, reaching $ 222.5 million, up 37.6% over the same period. Followed by the Chinese market accounted for 12%, reaching $ 177.2 million, up 11%.</p> <p>In terms of cashew nut export growth in the first six months of this year, most markets saw an increase in turnover over the same period last year; Of which cashew nut exports to Belgium grew by 93%, reaching over $ 9 million.
