<p>Andhra Pradesh Cashew Manufacturers’ Association (APCMA) has thanked the Centre for its decision to reduce GST on cashew from 12 to 5%.A decision to this effect was taken by the GST Council on Sunday.The issue was raised following representation from the industry by State Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu.APCMA president M. Phani Raghavalu thanked Mr. Ramakrishnudu for taking up the issue on their behalf to save the cashew industry from the brink of closure.Cashew industry is one of the biggest sectors in AP with 700 units covered in the entire coastal belt of the State.</p>
