<p>The Director-General of the Cotton and Cashew Council Council, Dr Adama Coulibaly on Thursday in Grand Bassam urged the producers to quality, a guarantee of the sustainability of the sector, APA noted on site in this historic city at around 43 Km south of Abidjan, where a workshop that brings together 60 cooperatives takes place."The sustainability of the sector depends on the quality of the product ... Quality at a price on the international market," said Dr. Adama Coulibaly to the delegates of the 60 best cooperatives from the different regions of Côte d'Ivoire.</p> <p>Moreover, the first head of the sector reassured about the outcome of this training workshop. "Every workshop is followed by concrete actions on the ground, the sector needs concrete actions, needs to advance," explained Dr. Coulibaly.Awareness raising on the improvement and preservation of the quality of ivory cashew nuts by training and distributing KOR (Kernel Putturn Ratio) kit are on the menu of this workshop.</p> <p>According to the Ivorian government, the quantities marketed amounted to 649,587 tons in 2016. These are 29 processing units that have processed 40,383 tons of nuts. Côte d'Ivoire is the world's largest producer of raw cashew nuts.</p>
