  • Binh Phuoc: The impact of weather on cashew yield is negligible

Tea mosquito bugs caused damage to 3,627 ha of cashewnut, mainly in Phu Rieng district with 1,076 ha, 583 ha in Bu Gia Map district, 560 ha in Phuoc Long town, and 256 hectares in Bu Dang.</p> <p>The level of harm of these two subjects from mild to moderate. However, some areas are harmed locally with the level of damage up to 30-35% of productivity in some areas such as Phu Nghia (Bu Gia Map) 200 ha. In Phu Rieng district, mosquito bugs caused serious damage to 129 ha, mainly in Phu Trung, Phu Rieng, Long Ha and Phuoc Tan communes.Apart from the anthracnose, tea mosquito bugs and some other infested plants, at this stage, red caterpillars have also emerged and caused relatively widespread harm. Through surveys and data collected from communes in the province, the total area of ​​the red-tailed macaque was 55 hectares, with heavy losses in Phuoc Tan, 11 hectares, Phu Rieng 9 hectares and Phu Trung 7.
