<p></p><p>Vietnam's cashew nut exports see a year-on-year growth in both volume and value in the first two months of 2015, according to Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) on Monday. In the two-month period, the country earned 261 million U.S. dollars from exporting 36,000 tons of cashew nuts, up 36.8 percent in value and 14.2 percent in volume, local Bao Cong Thuong ( Industry and Trade News), an online newspaper under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, quoted MARD's report as saying.<br></p> <p>Average export price of Vietnamese cashew nuts hit 7,101 U.S. dollars per ton, up 17.12 percent comparing to the same period of the last year. The United States, China and the Netherlands remain major consumers of Vietnamese cashew nuts with 27.8 percent, 24.24 percent and 8.96 percent of Vietnam's export revenue of the item respectively in the two months. <br></p> <p>Over the past few years, Vietnam has become the world's top cashew exporter. In 2015, Vietnam targets revenue of 2.5 billion U. S. dollars from cashew nut exports, higher than that of 2 billion U.S. dollars in 2014, according to the Vietnam Cashew Association.<br></p><p></p>
