  • Cashew declines on sluggish demand

    <p></p><p>Cashew prices eased by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today due to sluggish demand from retailers and stockists. Sufficient stocks position following increased arrivals from producing belts too weighed on cashew prices.</p> <p>Cashew kernel (No 180, 210, 240 and 230) prices fell by Rs 5 each to conclude at Rs 820-830, Rs 720-730, Rs 675-695 and Rs 565-575 per kg, respectively. Marketmen said fall in demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks led to the fall in cashew kernel prices. </p><p><b>Following are today's quotations (per 40 kg): </b></p><p>Almond (California) Rs 20,300, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,400-8,700; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 5,000-5,200; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-23,000. Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 680-715 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 500-600 per kg.<br></p><p></p><br>
