<p></p><p>Farmers should come forward and utilize unused agricultural land by planting, said Orlando Rodrigues, director of agriculture, recently. The hillocks could be utilized for cashew plantation, he said. He was speaking at a farmer's meet held at the Ramanata Crisna Pai Raiker school of agriculture at Savoi-Verem, as a part of the institute's farmers outreach programme along with Omkar Farmers' Club.</p> <p>"Multi-cropping could be introduced through spice plants in-between on their land by farmers. This would enhance farmers' income and also there are several government subsidies available which could be utilized for this purpose," Rodrigues said. </p><p> </p><br><p></p>
