Process locally at least 50% of cashew production in Côte d'Ivoire by the end of the next campaign. This is the major challenge that the players in the sector want to help meet through the combined organization of the World Convention and the National Days of Cashew Exporters in Côte d'Ivoire, next February 12 and 14 in Abidjan. This desire was declared by the General Commissioner, through his spokesperson, Alex N'guettia, during a press point that he co-hosted with other actors in the sector, last Tuesday, at Tray. For them, this “objective of transforming 50% before the end of the next campaign is certainly ambitious but achievable”, with regard not only to the system in place but also to the will displayed both by the government and by actors in the sector. Alex also announced that during these scientific days and exchanges around the theme, "What sustainable ecosystem for the global cashew sector?" », More than 2,000 participants are expected, around fifty companies for the product exhibition and 25 experts, researchers and panelists.

According to him, this would also be an opportunity to recognize merit through the delivery of rewards to actors as well as to put in business relationships of producers, operators and financiers. There are also plans, according to the spokesperson, to build a primary school in one of the localities of the cashew production zone in Côte d'Ivoire.
