<p></p><p>Vietnam exported 57,927 tons of cashew worth 409.18 million U.S. dollars in the first quarter of this year, which represented an increase of 32.4 percent in volume and 15.42 percent in value year on year, the Vietnam Cashew Association said Tuesday.<br></p> <p>The average export price reached 7,066 U.S. dollars per ton, and major importers included the U.S., China, Singapore, Canada and Australia. <br></p> <p>As global demand is forecast to remain high, especially in the U.S. and Middle East markets, the industry has set a target of 2.5 billion U.S. dollars from cashew exports this year, from last year 's 2 billion U.S. dollars, according to the association.<br></p><p></p>
