<p></p><p>The latest estimate for Turkey’s 2016 hazelnut crop was at the lower end of market expectations but remained higher than the gloomy estimates made by farmers’ unions, a UK trader observed today.Earlier this week, the Turkish exporters union estimated the 2016 crop at 603,800 in-shell tonnes.The trader noted that a crop of this range is below average, but certainly not a disaster. </p> <p>“The estimate is provisional as mid-May is still a little early.<br></p><p></p>
