<p>The Agriculture and Animal Resources Fair (SARA) 2019 closed yesterday in Abidjan in Côte d'Ivoire. The first prize in the confirmed start-up category went to BioSave which , through a multi- dial application, allows farmers to manufacture their fertilizer. The second came back to Atre Marché, a food ordering app and the third to Reca, a remote farmer app. In the start-up start-up category, the first prize was awarded to Agritech, a confirmed irrigation system, the second to Agri Banana, a solution for the production of biodegradable bags from banana trunks and the third to Pep ivoire a exotic fruit culture solution.</p> <p>The Cotton and Cashew Council and the Italian Forlivese nut trade firm have entered into a partnership agreement for the purchase of cashew kernels and in the future the processing in Côte d'Ivoire of raw cashew nuts. Together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the South African company Global Africa Integrated Farm has entered into a public-private partnership (PPP) agreement under the Tiébissou Integrated Agriculture Program (PAIT).</p> On the institutional side, FAO has signed an agreement of FCFA 237 billion with the Ivorian government to finance the activities of 60 young people and 100 women from the rural world and to professionalize them.
