<p></p><p>The World Cashew Convention (WCC) and the National Days of Cashew Exporters from Côte d'Ivoire (JNECCI 2020) end today, Friday February 14, 2020.</p> <p>During the opening ceremony, Wednesday February 12, 2020, Aboubacar Diaby, President of the Association of Cashew Exporters of Côte d'Ivoire (AEC-CI), also Commissioner General of the WCC / JNEC-CI 2020 asked Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly to support local processing development projects initiated by the National Cashew Exporters of Côte d'Ivoire. He also unveiled the challenges facing the cashew sector. Aboubacar Diaby said that questions related to the ecological, environmental, structural and economic balance constitute a crucial issue. Anything that, he said, justifies the main theme of the WCC / JNECCI 2020 joint edition, namely: "What sustainable ecosystem for the global cashew sector?" ". The president of the AEC-CI informed that the world industry of the raw cashew nut should grow in quantity and in value to quickly reach 5 billion dollars, that is to say 2,500 billion FCFA of turnover. "We sincerely call for a greater international partnership, emphasizing the exchange of experience, the transfer of skills and technology in a context that is certainly globalized but fair and equitable," he pleaded.</p><br><p></p>
