  • Almond prices declines on reduced offtake

    <p></p><p></p> <p>Almond prices fell by ` 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today due to reduced offtake by retailers and stockists. &nbsp;Adequate stock following increased arrivals from overseas markets also weighed on the prices. </p> <p>Almond (California) prices fell by ` 100 to ` 13,300 per 40 kg and its kernel rates also eased by ` 5 to ` 470-485 per kg. &nbsp;Traders attributed the fall in almond prices to reduced offtake by retailers and stockists against fresh arrivals from overseas markets and that mainly pulled down almond prices on the wholesale dry fruits market here. </p><p>The following are today's quotations (per 40 kg): </p><p>Almond (California) ` 13,400 Almond (Gurbandi-new) ` 7,000-7,600; Almond (Girdhi) ` 3,200-3,800; Abjosh Afghani ` 8,000-20,000. &nbsp;Almond Kernel (California) ` 470-485 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) ` 350-425 per kg. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><br><p></p>
