In 2017, Côte d'Ivoire became Vietnam's largest trading partner, displacing South Africa. Ivorian exports, consisting mainly of cashew nuts and cotton, grew by 27% in 2017 to reach $ 892 million, according to figures from the General Customs Department by the Vietnamese News Agency (VAN). Trade between Côte d'Ivoire and Vietnam reached a record of more than $ 1 billion in 2017.
