  • Cooperation between Côte d'Ivoire and Hunan Province: Minister Souleymane Diarrassouba exchanges with the Governor of Hunan Province

    <p>The Minister of Commerce, Industry and SME Promotion Souleymane Diarrassouba, exchanged on Friday, June 28, 2019 with HE Mr. Zu Dahze, Governor of Hunan Province during a visit he made to him on the sidelines of the first Sino-African economic and trade exhibition. &nbsp;On the occasion of this meeting, the two men expressed their enthusiasm for strengthening the existing historical ties between Côte d'Ivoire and Hunan Province. </p><p>For Governor Zu Dahze, the first China-Africa economic and trade exhibition is a good opportunity for African countries in general and for Côte d'Ivoire in particular, to establish strong strategic economic partnerships with Chinese economic operators and to draw on some examples of success stories in China's business community. &nbsp;In addition, he expressed the possibility for Côte d'Ivoire and Hunan Province to collaborate in the field of agriculture, ICT and tourism. </p> <p>"Ivory Coast is known for its agricultural diversity, including cashew nuts, and Hunan Province is known for its industrial infrastructure, so we can work together to develop this sector," he said.</p> <p>Following him, the Minister Souleymane Diarrassouba raised a corner of sail on the industrial landscape of the Ivory Coast &nbsp;"The Ivory Coast is full of agricultural resources that need to be transformed and in the framework of the vision of the Chief of the State HE Mr. Alassane Ouattara to transform the economy of our country through industrialization, we have undertaken reforms to facilitate the establishment of industrial units in the areas dedicated to it ". </p> He also noted his desire to see Chinese economic operators invest in agricultural processing in Côte d'Ivoire. "We are counting on the good collaboration between Ivorian and Chinese companies to build industrial units for the transformation of Ivorian agricultural products into finished products and export them directly to China, which will not only give us the opportunity to create more value but also to create decent jobs ". &nbsp;Governor Zu Dahze told Minister Souleymane Diarrassouba that he will take steps with businesses in his province to get them to turn to Ivory Coast to invest. <br><p></p>
