On September 6, 2023, the Plant Protection Department received Official Dispatch No. TCO CD 1438 dated August 15, 2024 of the Vietnamese Embassy in China forwarding the Official Note dated August 14, 2024 of the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) requesting to review and update information of establishments producing plant-based foods exported to China on the CIFER System within 60 days.
In order to implement the above request of GACC, the Department notifies establishments producing plant-based foods exported to China:
1. Urgently check and carefully review information on the name, address, and code of the establishment on the CIFER System to ensure accuracy and consistency according to the Business Registration Certificate.
2. Complete the declaration of required information (contact person, contact phone number, email, etc.); update information on name, HS code (if any) and required documents on the CIFER System and submit it to the CIFER System for approval by GACC.
3. For establishments that have not previously applied for renewal registration, if they continue to have the need to export to China and restore the registration code on the CIFER System, the establishment must notify the Plant Protection Department (through the Department of Food Safety and Environment).
